Two whales, Gimli and Bombur, named after the characters in JRR Tolkien’s novels, have recently been expanding their cryptocurrency investments by incorporating other trend tokens.
The whales bought about one million dollars each of these coins. The whale Bombur paid $1.18 million to purchase 55,188 ApeCoins, while Gimli paid $1.46 million to add 114,990 Chainlinks to its wallet.

These two whales seem to be holding meme tokens, unlike the big Ethereum whales that resell their tokens right after purchasing the Shiba Inu.
The whale named Bombur has $14.9 million in SHIB tokens in its wallet, and SHIB accounts for 4.12% of this whale’s wallet.
Gimli whale has $12.3 million worth of SHIB tokens in its wallet, and 21.06% of the whale’s cryptocurrency portfolio consists of SHIB. Together, these investors own a total of 1.19 trillion SHIB tokens.
Another major investor who bought a large amount of APE altcoins today was BlueWhale0098. The whale account added $3.6 million worth of APE coins to its wallet.
