Berlin The traffic light coalition sees itself as an alliance of progress. The title of the coalition agreement between the SPD, Greens and FDP sounds accordingly: “Dare to make more progress – Alliance for freedom, justice and sustainability”.

At 177 pages, the agreement is about as extensive as previous alliances. The Handelsblatt gives an overview of the content:

Energy and climate

The future traffic light coalition is setting ambitious goals for the expansion of renewable energies in order to make progress in climate protection: 80 percent of electricity should come from renewable sources by 2030. Today it is around 50 percent.
