This is why low-cost airline tickets will be more expensive in the future

Frankfurt It sounds good for citizens who love to travel around Nuremberg. Ryanair will be offering the “biggest flight schedule ever” at the city’s airport this winter, the Irish low-cost operator advertised last Friday. Very fixed vacationers could even get tickets for 24.99 euros until Sunday – one way.

Will aviation go back to how it was before the pandemic? Will air travelers soon be able to get hold of cheap tickets again? The special campaign in Nuremberg is deceptive.

Bargain hunting in aviation will be much more difficult for the time being. This is not only due to the increased costs for fuel, fees and sometimes high wage agreements, which the airlines pass on to their customers.

Another reason: Low-cost airlines have significantly reduced their offers at individual airports during the pandemic years, and in some cases have completely withdrawn from certain airports. The consequences of these developments can be seen in a survey by the comparison portal Check24.
