Dusseldorf Employees can be happy: In 2023, most public holidays will again fall on a working day. So it’s worth taking out the calendar and checking the bridging days. Because many of the holidays are in the middle of the week. So if you use the bridging days sensibly, you can significantly extend your vacation.

Employees in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg can turn their vacation days into free days. For example, Baden-Württemberg has twelve public holidays, in Bavaria there are even 13. In the north there aren’t as many public holidays because there are fewer public holidays there.

However, there is good news for everyone: In 2023, significantly fewer public holidays will overlap with a weekend – unlike in 2022, around May 1st and both Christmas holidays will again be on a working day. This results in the following ten holiday tips.

Holiday tip 1: Epiphany (January 6th)

Vacation days: 0
Days off: 3
Is applicable: in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and Saxony-Anhalt
