Monday’s tweet announcing that the company is working with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Mark Wahlberg helped GALA rise over 70% to about $0.050, the highest since Sept. 13.
Gala Games deleted the tweet without any explanation and the token is currently down more than 20% at around $0.037.
In the deleted Tweet, the GALA developers said:
“As you read this, we are developing two films with The Rock (aka Dwayne Johnson) and Mark Wahlberg! Two absolutely huge forces in the entertainment industry. You’ve seen their work on screen, but I think their off-screen presence can be even stronger and we’re very happy to have the chance to work with them.”
The tweet added that as part of the partnership, users in the Gala ecosystem can scan a QR code to purchase movie tickets for The Rock’s movies and win digital rewards on Netflix.
Despite the pullback, GALA has increased over 130% this month, leading the rise among gaming tokens.
The increase in gaming tokens, which is a high-risk sub-sector and came to the fore in the last period of the 2021 bull market, may be cryptocurrency may indicate a risk revival in the market.
