Dusseldorf SAP is turning its meetings upside down: Europe’s largest software company wants to do without conferences and telephone and video switching on Fridays in the future. SAP has already tested “Focus Friday” in parts of the company with several thousand employees. From May 20th, all employees in Germany will have a day without meetings.

“Since the beginning of the pandemic, as elsewhere, the meeting dates of our employees have become increasingly frequent,” Younosi explains the background to the idea. Accordingly, there is no time between meetings to calm down or to work on tasks in a really focused manner. The employees are to be given this time with “Focus Friday”.
