Frankfurt, Düsseldorf The Foundation of Family Businesses represents business families and their corporations in Germany and sees itself as a sponsor of science and research in the field of family businesses. The approximately 500 sponsors of the foundation come from the group of the largest German family businesses, according to their own statements. This includes families like Reimann, Klatten, Quandt and Thiele.

According to the lobby control association, however, her political work is primarily focused on fending off the increased taxation of wealth. So she softened the reform of the inheritance tax in 2016 and is currently fighting against plans to introduce a wealth tax.

The reasons are obvious: According to a calculation by the DIW business institute, the richest five percent of Germans owned 55 percent of their wealth last year.
