Strike CEO Jack Mallers has announced plans to improve remittance payments to Africa thanks to the Lightning Network on Bitcoin. Speaking at a conference in Ghana, Mallers announced that the Bitcoin payment company has partnered with mobile app Bitnob to facilitate payments to Africa.

Currently, money transfers to Africa use the Lightning Network, a layer 2 payment network built on Bitcoin. Called “Send Globally”, this feature enables instant, low-cost payments to Africa.
