Dusseldorf At the age of nine, Claudia Nemat, 54, had a career aspiration, like many girls of that age: she wanted to be a stewardess. “If you do, then please go into the cockpit!” Her grandfather explained to her at the time.

An announcement that shaped her. Typical women’s and men’s jobs, that does not exist for the longest-serving board member in the Dax. She has been a member of the Deutsche Telekom Board of Management since October 2011 – first she headed the European business, now the Technology and Innovation department. In that time she has seen many men come and go.
