Dusseldorf At the age of nine, Claudia Nemat, 54, had a career aspiration, like many girls of that age: she wanted to be a stewardess. “If you do, then please go into the cockpit!” Her grandfather explained to her at the time.

She has been a member of the Deutsche Telekom Board of Management since October 2011 – first she headed the European business, now the Technology and Innovation department. In that time she has seen many men come and go.
