Developing a system called “Face Pay” to minimize contact, the authorities began to prepare more than 240 stations in Moscow, the capital of Russia, for use. The face recognition system, integrated into a special turnstile system, aims to make cash and card passes a thing of the past.
Speaking on the subject, Deputy Mayor Maxim Liksutov said, “Passengers will not need a card or smartphone to enter the subway. Just look at the camera on the turnstile.” said. However, this practice also brings some controversy.
