In his written statement, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu noted that the corporate Cyber ​​Incidents Response Team (SOME) was established in 2013 and 2 thousand 125 people work within SOME. In addition, Karaismailoğlu stated that the SOME Communication Platform (SIP) was developed in order to share alarm, warning and security notifications between the National Cyber ​​Incidents Response Center (USOM) and SOMEs. underlined that digital attacks are carried out at an institutional, systematic and supranational level.

Explaining the number of cyber attacks, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu stated that a total of 138 thousand 445 cyber attacks were prevented in 2022. Announcing that the number of blocked cyber attacks has reached 664 thousand 263 in the last 6 years, Karaismailoğlu said, “In 2022, the access of 72 thousand 226 malicious connections detected within the scope of USOM studies was blocked. In addition, 14,833 cyber security notifications were made in order to take measures against institutions and organizations this year. “The attacks have occurred as distributed denial-of-service (DDoS), phishing and spam by operators.”

Emphasizing that they have taken serious precautions in cyber security, Karaismailoğlu said, “With the Cyber ​​Security Operations Center, whose installation work has been completed within the Information Technologies and Communications Authority, we have enabled the operations and transactions between USOM and operators to be monitored 24/7 uninterruptedly and if necessary, actions can be taken without losing time. We also ensure our security at our cyber gates, such as our border gates, with domestic and national practices. Security at the cyber gates is just as important as our border gates,” he said.
