Berlin It happened again on Christmas Eve. Pavel Antov, a Russian multi-millionaire and regional politician, falls from a third floor window of his hotel room while on vacation in the eastern Indian city of Rayagada and dies. According to official information, it should be a suicide.
Antov thus joins the long list of Russian oligarchs, politicians and members of the opposition who have died under unclear circumstances since the start of the Ukraine war. Some had publicly criticized the invasion, others were considered loyal to the Kremlin.
On February 25, a day after the start of the Russian invasion, the senior Gazprom executive Alexander Tyulakov found dead in the garage of his estate near Saint Petersburg. Apparently, the 61-year-old hanged himself. Tyulakov was responsible for corporate security at Gazprom.
