But the 64-year-old is more than a professionally pessimistic “Mr Doom”, his voice has received a lot of attention worldwide: The professor at the Stern School of Business in New York not only predicted the bursting of the US real estate bubble in 2008 and the subsequent financial crisis. He also correctly predicted the economic crash as a result of the corona pandemic.
