The majority sees the Ampel coalition as a new beginning

Dusseldorf According to a Civey poll, a relative majority of 43 percent of voters are of the opinion that the measures presented in the coalition agreement of the traffic light coalition will advance Germany’s modernization, 16 percent are undecided, 41 percent are negative.

Voters of the Greens and the SPD rate the measures presented in the coalition agreement as particularly positive: 77 percent of the Greens voters see the measures of the coalition agreement as a signal of change, while the SPD voters still see 72 percent. In contrast, there are only 49 percent of the voters of the third party in the traffic light alliance, the FDP.

The majority of the citizens rate the future roles of FDP leader Christian Lindner and Greens leader Robert Habeck positively. 50 percent of the voters rate it as “very positive” or “rather positive” that Christian Lindner should take over the office of Federal Minister of Finance in the traffic light coalition. 15 percent of the voters are undecided, 35 percent rate the personnel negatively.

Voters similarly assess that Robert Habeck should become Minister of Economic Affairs. 48 percent of the voters see this as “very positive” or “rather positive”, 14 percent are undecided, 38 percent rate the change as negative.
