Dusseldorf, Berlin After the dispute in the board of directors of the Persil and Pril manufacturer Henkel, doubts about the head of the supervisory board, Simone Bagel-Trah, are growing among executives and parts of the Henkel family. This is reported by company and industry circles to the Handelsblatt. They accuse the 53-year-old of not making long-term personnel plans for board members – which is part of the primary task of a chief controller.

Henkel rejects the allegations on request. However, four weeks after the announcement of the departure of board member Jan-Dirk Auris, the group has not yet presented a successor. This personality is also the trigger for the growing criticism of Bagel-Trah.

Auris has been responsible for the adhesives business at Henkel since 2011. It is Henkel’s most successful division, accounting for half of sales and 60 percent of profits. The top manager’s contract would have actually run until the end of 2023. In mid-November, however, Henkel announced that Auris would end its activities at the end of January.
