According to Le Parisien newspaper, cybercriminals launched a cyber attack on museums’ data systems using ransomware. This software encrypts data and makes information on computers, servers and networks unreadable. Of course, they demand a ransom to return this information. The cyber attack was discovered by a security expert at the Grand Palais Museum. The Grand Palais will continue to host events such as fencing and martial arts at the Paris Olympics.
