Frankfurt The corona pandemic is once again gripping the world with force and is also spoiling investors’ desire for shares. The further development of the pandemic and the tightening international measures to contain it should dominate the new week on the capital markets, as strategists expect.

In Austria there is a lockdown from Monday for a maximum of 20 days, in the Netherlands there are already restrictions on public life. In Germany, doctors are calling for the new resolutions to combat the pandemic to be implemented quickly.

In individual federal states such as Bavaria and Saxony, stricter rules apply, including a lockdown in some particularly badly affected regions – also for those who have been vaccinated and with corresponding consequences for companies. The Association of Intensive Care Physicians has already doubted whether the measures decided will be sufficient.
