The first Turk to go to space has been announced!

For the first time in the 100th anniversary of our Republic, a Turk will go into space. Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank said in a statement that the first Turkish citizen to be sent to the International Space Station has been determined and President Erdogan will announce the candidates.

Speaking at the Health Sciences University Technology Development Center Opening Ceremony, Mustafa Varank stated that the first Turkish citizen who will go into space and conduct scientific research will be announced soon. According to the news of Hürriyet, the people who will go to space will be announced by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Stating that the health status of the person who will go to space is also very important, Varank states that the University of Health Sciences plays a big role in this regard. It was announced that the person selected to go to space was determined after the health and psychological tests conducted by the University of Health Sciences.
