Berlin The Federal Ministry of Economics is moving away from its original plans with the retrospective skimming off of chance profits. The random profits of the electricity producers are now only to be skimmed off from November. This emerges from an eight-page concept from the ministry, which is available to the Handelsblatt.

According to an initial concept by the ministry, which became public in mid-October, the retroactive effect should apply from March 2022. Later September was mentioned. The industry has been fiercely criticizing the planned levy for weeks, especially the retroactive effect.
