Users will be able to activate the new ‘Silent Mode’ feature offered by the social media application for certain hours. When these hours are exceeded, Instagram will transmit a summary of the notifications received during this process to the user. Quiet Mode will be available in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom starting today.

Alongside the new Silent Mode feature, Instagram is starting to offer users more control over the platform. With the newly introduced feature, users will now be able to specify the content types they do not want to encounter. In addition, ‘Hashtag’ and ’emojis’ in content and comments will be limited in the ‘Hidden Words’ section in the settings.
