The energy transition is beyond all realities

Undeterred, the SPD and the Greens are sticking to the goals for implementing the energy transition. Now more than ever, that’s the creed, although the turnaround was already planned before the Ukraine war and ignored reality. With the cessation of natural gas from Russia, they would have to initiate a change of course. But the parties don’t do it. Great dangers arise from this – not only for the energy industry, but for Germany as an industrial location.

Federal Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) gives the impression that the essentials have already been set in motion in order to survive the coming winter and the coming years relatively unscathed. But that is a dangerous fallacy.

The threat of deindustrialization is real. However, it is precisely the industrial core that is the starting point for many value chains that are essential for the development of an energy supply structure based on renewable energies.
