The end of Photoshop: Artificial intelligence has come to Windows applications!

Microsoft announced that it will add new artificial intelligence-based image editing capabilities to its Paint and Photos applications. These innovations will bring artificial intelligence tools found in professional software such as Adobe Photoshop to ordinary users.

The Paint app will get two new AI features called Generative Fill and Generative Erase. Productive Erase will work similarly to Google’s Magic Eraser feature. Accordingly, it will allow users to remove objects, people or crowds from images by painting them.

Generative Fill, on the other hand, will mimic a key feature of Photoshop. It will allow users to add new items by entering commands in certain regions. Both tools will have adjustable brushes to apply AI edits with precision.

An application has been made for the eVinci microreactor. It can power AI-driven data centers.

Additionally, the Photos app is also gaining the Productive Delete feature to easily delete objects. The app will also get the Super Resolution feature, which can convert blurry or low-resolution images to 8 times more resolution in seconds.

According to Microsoft’s statement, the artificial intelligence models that power new vehicles were created for improved quality and speed. It will also have moderation to prevent abuse. It is unclear whether these models are in-house or based on OpenAI technologies.

These features will enable Windows applications such as Paint and Photos to gain artificial intelligence-supported tools. It will also eliminate the need for paid subscriptions.
