Which companies do the people with the best educational qualifications work for? The start-up case evaluated this.

Berlin The shortage of skilled workers is one of the biggest challenges for the German economy. Even large employer brands now have to compete for the brightest minds. According to an evaluation by HR consultancy Hays, the job market currently seems to be cooling off slightly. Since the beginning of the year, the number of vacancies has fallen by twelve percent.
But there are still 68 percent more jobs advertised than in the months before the pandemic. Around 28,000 jobs were vacant at the Dax companies in September, according to data from the job portal Indeed. Engineers, IT and finance experts in particular remain in demand.
Which companies manage to attract the brightest minds in this difficult job market? Using a self-developed algorithm, experts from the Cologne start-up Case evaluated 660 companies in various sectors based on the educational qualifications of their employees and created a ranking. Biotech companies are the most successful in recruiting smart employees. How the ranking works and which companies occupy the top spots.
