The biggest cause of accidents is driver error:

A total of 88,223 driver faults in fatal and injury accidents were recorded in the minutes. In addition, 10 thousand 316 pedestrians, 2 thousand 260 vehicles, 1524 passengers and 414 road defects were detected. The driver faults that caused the most accidents were as follows:

• Not adjusting the speed of their vehicles according to the conditions required by the road, weather and traffic: 34 thousand 14
• Non-compliance with the transition priority in places where intersections, passages and pavements are narrow: 13 thousand 337
