Camp de Mar “Five stars” – these are two words with a wide range of interpretations. As a traveler, you probably know that: five stars under the Spanish sun have little in common with five stars on Hamburg’s Inner Alster. The German Hotel and Restaurant Association (Dehoga) endeavors to establish standardized standards.

But even in our neighborhood, five stars have different characteristics: Extravagant rooms, exciting locations, extraordinary gastronomy, innovative concepts, practiced sustainability or just the disdainful processing of points as prescribed by the associations – all of this can take place at a five-star level .

As a reader of my column, you know that, for me, luxury lies primarily in the personal side, the attitude. The classic hotel stars include the processes and the number of services. Unfortunately, quality and interpersonal relationships often go unnoticed or at least not taken into account.
