The last session before the second round of the Presidential elections in Borsa Istanbul witnessed a frenzied transaction traffic. Institutional investors and domestic investors priced in the post-election scenario on the day when foreign investors were generally still on sale.
It was noted that 30 of the top 100 stocks in the stock market rose by 4-10 percent. KLRHO stock took the lead with 9.96 percent rise, followed by TMSN share price rise (9.91 percent). EKGYO stock attracted attention with an increase of 8.98 percent and ASELSAN share price by 8.7 percent.
In general, it is seen that the scenario priced for the post-election scenario is in the form of pricing President Erdogan’s lead in the first round in terms of the second round of the Presidential elections. In particular, the rise in the shares of groups that are seen as close to the current government confirms this image.
On the other hand, although it is seen that foreign investors are on the selling side of the index in general, it is not overlooked that they buy more in some stocks and less in some stocks.
Foreigners bought these shares
The shares that foreigners bought before the election were Kiler Holding, Emlak Konut GYO, BERA, TTKOM, IPEKE, ISDMR, KORDS, VESTL, KOZAA, KRDMD, KERVT, KCAER, ARCLK.
ASELS, PGSUS, THYAO, SISE, KOZAL, HEKTS, FROTO, TAVHL were the shares that were sold by foreigners and increased by purchases by institutional investors such as mutual funds or pension funds.
There were 3 stocks on the buy side, where both foreigners and institutional investors were seen: EKGYO, VESTL, ARCLK.
In KONTR stock, however, it is noticed that individual investor purchases push the share prices up.
