Frankfurt, Berlin, New York It was only in July that US President Joe Biden and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman renounced their arch-enmity and ushered in a new era of cooperation. Now there is massive anger in the US about Saudi Arabia. Because the OPEC countries want to produce less oil, the USA is threatening severe consequences. Biden wants to fundamentally “rethink” relations with the leading OPEC country and is threatening consequences. Now Congress must debate how the United States will respond.

Relations between the USA and Saudi Arabia have thus reached a new low. The reason is the decision by OPEC plus to produce two million barrels (159 liters each) less oil per day from November. Saudi Arabia and Russia are considered the leading forces in the oil alliance.
