Introduced in 2019, Cybertruck has not yet entered the mass production phase. Elon Musk made a statement about the release date of the Tesla Cybertruck model at the meeting he held today.
Cybertruck release date delayed to 2024
Cybertruck, which is claimed to be released in 2021, has been delayed for about 3 years. Answering questions about Cybertruck at the 2022 fourth quarter financial meeting, Elon Musk said, “You will take a step for production this summer. But mass production of the new model will not begin until next year. The start of production is an unimportant detail for us.” made statements.
The production of Cybertruck, which was delayed in 2021 due to the coronavirus epidemic, caused the disappointment of car enthusiasts. Making a statement recently, Tesla heralded that it has started to install the necessary equipment for Cybertruck production.
The company has not yet announced where the new model will be produced. The Cybertruck is largely expected to be manufactured at the company’s Gigafactory in Austin, Texas.
Industry experts have warned that the timeline needs to be accelerated for Cybertruck to have the desired impact. Edmunds CEO Jessica Cawell said: “The Cybertruck model is highly unlikely to rise between the F-150 Lightning, GMC Hummer EV, Rivian R1T and possibly the Chevy Silverado EV and RAM 1500 EV. The downside for Tesla is that the Cybertruck almost looks like old news.” said.
Tesla has about approx. 1 percent forming. In the market where only electric vehicles take place, it has managed to outperform its competitors.
