Terminal in Stade makes Dow a shareholder

Berlin, Dusseldorf The expansion of liquefied natural gas terminals in Germany is picking up speed. The US chemical company Dow Chemical announced on Monday that it intends to invest in the LNG terminal in Stade. The Hanseatic Energy Hub GmbH (HEH), which is driving the project in Stade, intends to submit all the necessary approval documents for the construction of the terminal and the associated port on Tuesday.

“We are participating as a minority shareholder in the LNG terminal planned in Stade and are thus sending a clear signal,” said Katja Wodjereck, President of Dow Germany, to the Handelsblatt. The terminal is to be built on Dow Chemical’s premises.
