Berlin Federal and state tax revenues fell significantly in February. Compared to the same month last year, they fell by 4.1 percent to 60.55 billion euros, according to the monthly report by the Federal Ministry of Finance, which will be published on Tuesday. In the first two months together, the minus was 1.8 percent to 118.6 billion euros.

Experts are expecting growth of more than five percent for 2023 as a whole. According to the Ministry of Finance, the minus in February’s revenue is mainly due to tax support in response to the energy crisis and high inflation.
