Berlin The federal and state tax revenues also increased significantly in October. They increased by 17.5 percent to 53.4 billion euros, according to the monthly report of the Federal Ministry of Finance, which was published on Friday. In September, however, the plus was a good 23 percent. In the same period of the previous year, state corona aid for companies and households had a much stronger effect than it is now. In addition, income tax now poured significantly more money into the state coffers.

In the first ten months together, federal and state tax revenues were EUR 594.4 billion, 9.8 percent above the level a year earlier. For the full year 2021, experts are assuming an increase of a good nine percent.

According to the monthly report, the Ministry of Finance continues to expect a noticeably higher inflation rate until the end of the year. In Germany, inflation rose to 4.5 percent in October, its highest level in 28 years. However, special effects ceased to exist with the turn of the year. As a result, the inflation rate should be slightly lower again.
