While 10 percent tax is applied for vehicles with a power below 160 kW and whose net price does not exceed 700 thousand TL, the tax base has been increased to 1 million 250 thousand TL with this decision. Vehicles with a power of more than 160 kW and a net price of more than 1 million 250 thousand TL will be subject to 40 percent SCT.

With the last regulation, the 50 percent SCT limit applied for vehicles with engine power over 160 kW was increased from 750 thousand liras to 1 million 350 thousand liras. For vehicles whose price exceeds 1 million 350 thousand TL, the SCT rate was determined as 60 percent. This change may lead to a reduction in the prices of cars whose base limits have changed due to the increase in exchange rates.
