Premiere in Berlin.

Tan Caglar (41) is the new member of the Tatort team from the capital. As assistant to Malik Aslan, he is now supporting the inspectors Nina Rubin (Meret Becker) and Robert Karow (Mark Waschke).

“I was already able to be the first real wheelchair user to play a doctor in a series – in ‘In allerfreund’. And of course I’m also very proud to be the first investigator now. I mean: 2021! It’s about time, ”he told BILD am SONNTAG.

He has been permanently in a wheelchair since he was 24 and, like investigator Malik, he also deals with his handicap with humor in his private life.

The comedian, who was born in Hildesheim, is very familiar with the Sunday crime series. Caglar: “In my childhood my parents always said to me: ‘Tan, if we’ve learned something about the Germans, it’s that you go to church on Sundays and in the evening you watch Tatort.’ So we did that too. I was, or am, a big Schimanski fan. “
