“Take Me Out” – Now gay men are back on the trigger

“Take Me Out” has been flickering on German TV screens since 2013. After two special editions only with gay men in January of this year, the next round will start on November 13th.

In two brand new episodes “Take Me Out-Boys Boys Boys”, 30 love-hungry single men are hot for their dream man again!

The principle of the gay edition is quickly explained: Everything stays as always!

The single man has to convince the 30 candidates of his type over three rounds. If there are more than two men left at the end of the third round, the single man himself is on the trigger. He chooses his two favorites and asks them a crucial question in order to then decide on his dream prince. The two can then get closer on a date in the legendary Take Me Out limousine.

“The main thing is to love it”

The show producer at the production company UFA Show & Factual, Ilka Loch, explained: “I think it is our duty as television makers to actively bring more diversity to television. The main thing is that people love them – whoever loves each other should no longer play a role in the 21st century! And we want to convey this message into the living room with ‘Take Me Out – Boys Boys Boys’. “

The two gay specials in January 2021 – at that time with moderator Ralf Schmitz – achieved quite good ratings with 18.4 percent and 16.4 percent (14-49 years): an average of 2.30 million viewers saw the two specials.

With so much diversity, only one question remains unanswered: When does the show come as a “Girls Girls Girls” special – for lesbian women?
