TAI Anka-3 / MİUS unmanned fighter jet left the hangar!

There is a certain route that Turkey follows on the aviation side. Undoubtedly, the most important ones here are Hürjet, which will make its first flight next month, and MMU, which is expected to take off by the end of the year, since the project schedule has been moved forward by 2 years.

But there is also the unmanned side of things. Here, on the other hand, there are UAV, SİHA, TİHA and MIUS systems developed by Baykar and TUSAŞ. Of course, the unmanned aerial vehicles developed to date have become famous all over the world with their proven operational capabilities in the field and international export success.

The expected day has come: Not the F-22, but the National Combat Aircraft!

The expected day has come: Not the F-22, but the National Combat Aircraft!

Turkey’s domestic warplane program TF-X / MMU has entered the final corner. The National Combat Aircraft took to the runway, started the engine and taxied.

Today, however, since a certain level of technology has been reached and even among the pioneers of this business in the world, the focus is on vehicles that are slightly larger, can go much faster and are developed for different usage scenarios.

The first of these was Bayraktar Kızılelma with a take-off weight of 6 tons. When this vehicle, which comes from Ukraine and has different versions using domestic engines produced by TEI, enters the inventory, the war history will change once again, just like the Anka and TB2s.

TAI Anka-3

It is known that TAI has had an eye on this field since 2012. In fact, when the first Anka UAVs were delivered, it was announced that the next target was TİSU-MİUS. Of course, until today, there were only drawings that came out in the past months.

But TAI secretly completed this unmanned warplane. In fact, it is said that tests have been carried out for a while. It is known that this vehicle, which has a take-off weight of 7 tons, will accelerate to 0.7 Mach and use the delta wing form to reduce radar visibility. As a matter of fact, the image we see today confirms this.
