Synced: Off Planet Game Review

We played the Rogue-like looter-shooter Synced, which is trying to save the world against nanobots, during the closed beta period and reviewed it for you.

He also produced popular games such as Metal Revolution and Death Coming. of Next Studios His new game, Synced, is actually based on a very simple but effective concept. This game, which has a Destiny 2-like structure, With the mecha warrior system It can easily stand out from its competitors.

We also experienced the game during the closed beta. We will talk about what the game offers you, in which subjects it has been successful and unsuccessful. Come together, this new “looter-shooterLet’s take a closer look at the game.

The world’s only hope against nanobots: Runners

First, let’s talk about the structure and story of the game. The game is basically a Rogue-Like Looter-Shooter game. So during the game constantly collecting items and you need to get stronger with these items and defeat your enemies. When we look at the story, we see that the game takes place in a dystopian world. After the development of nanorobots, robot technology gets out of control and begins to threaten humanity. In this chaos, we We portray a “runner” trying to save humanity.

The task of the runners in the game is in the world where nanorobots roam “nervaTo bring an end to this robot invasion by collecting particles called ”. Of course, while collecting these nervas, you must be careful against the robots who want to destroy you.

You can play against both bots and other players (PVE/PVP)

When you first enter the game, you start with a short training mission. After this mission, the game offers you 2 game modes. the first of these Dead Zone Runsas co-op for up to 3 people where you fight against the artificial intelligence of the game part. Your goal here is to collect as much nerva as possible and complete the missions that the game offers you. Of course, as your character gets stronger, the artificial intelligence in the game also gets stronger.

Nerva Run is the part where you enter the race to collect nerva by fighting against other players. Here again, you can play co-op with up to 3 people. The aim of the Nerva run is to turn off the sensors on the map, kill the robots and eliminate the enemies. be the team with the most nerva points. In other words, we can say that it is a kind of snatch-the-flag mode.

You can find your own style of play with 6 different runners and 4 different Nanos.

You can choose between 6 different characters in the game. Each of these characters has their own unique characteristics and abilities. For example, while the character named İskambil specializes in melee and weapons, Dr. Stone is an expert at healing his teammates. Of course, we also have robots called Nano. By “stealing” the energies of robots trying to hunt you down These huge robots you have are acting according to your commands. Here you have 4 different options. Some Nanos are experts in close combat, while others are tasked with protecting you. There’s even a spotter robot that spies on you and identifies missions for which you can earn enemies and nerva points.

Both your character and your Nano You can change and customize while off-duty.. In addition, you can strengthen your nanos for that run by using the crystals you find from the chests and enemies in the game and the machines that appear every step of the way in the game. At the beginning of the run, all the Nano can do is attack the enemies or protect you, but towards the end of the run, you have a huge destruction machine at your disposal.

As we just mentioned, you need to improve the Nanos with each run, but you can permanently improve your characterYou can both improve your character and improve your character by using the materials and mods you collect in your shelter called Haven. you can level up your weapons.

It offers a different gaming experience.

After the game’s training mission, you find yourself chasing missions in Haven. After collecting the daily login rewards and level rewards as in the classic Looter-Shooter games, we tried the PVP mode, the Nerva run. Although the game is somewhat reminiscent of PUBG at this point, when the robots attack you and you start using your Nanos, the game is actually you realize it’s not like Destiny or PUBG.

Compared to Looter-Shooter games like Destiny 2 and Warframe, Synced stays a little slower paced. In Destiny, you have to constantly fly left and right and hit the opponent, while in Synced you have to use Nanos and you have to aim at the weak points of the enemy. Since the game is in beta, although we encounter minor bugs and errors, it should be noted that they do not affect the game experience and most likely will not be in the full version.

The game’s maps usually take place in remote areas such as mountainous areas and industrial areas. But in every corner of the game “Watch out for robotsWe see many warnings such as ”. In addition, there are nanorobot remains, shattered vehicles and destroyed buildings in many places in the game. makes the player feel that the game takes place in a dystopian world.

There are pros as well as cons.

First of all, let’s say that we tested the game on a computer with an AMD Ryzen 5800H processor, RTX 3050 graphics card and 16 GB of RAM. Game on highest settings with this hardware Between 100-130 FPS we can see. However, since there are some optimization problems in the game, which is currently in beta, the FPS can sometimes drop to 90 momentarily. That’s why we tested the game fluently by fixing it to 60 FPS.

of the game interface and subtitles support Turkish really nice detail. Unfortunately, we can’t even see Turkish subtitles in many games today. On the other hand, there are plenty of items that can be purchased with real money in the game, but none of them make your character stronger. So the game is not P2W. This makes the game playable in the long run. There is also a fair game environment system in the game. Thanks to this system, a player who has completed 30 hours does not come across a player who has just started the game. So there is a kind of hidden rating.

If we come to the minuses of the game; after 10 runs in a row the game repeats and after a point i realized that i always do the same things. In addition, the walking and running speeds of your character in the game slower than you expect. This speed increases as your character develops in the later hours of the game, but in the first 2 hours of the game, you feel like you are crawling on the ground.

Even if the enemy AI is successful, your Nanos sometimes trying to attack a non-existent enemy or he may struggle for minutes to overcome a small obstacle. Usually in such cases, when you call Nano back and give the command to attack again, your problem is solved.

Although it is a very nice dystopian world in terms of design, skins can sometimes make you feel like you are playing a game from 2020 and voicing-dialect matching fails. When the characters speak, it seems as if someone else is speaking and the characters are just closing and opening their mouths.

Between 10 December and 15 January In order to participate in the beta of Sycned, whose open beta will be held, you need to register. It is also among the shared information that the game, which is completely free to play, will be released in the first months of 2023.
