Switzerland: Vacation rentals are becoming increasingly expensive

Zurich Vacation rentals in the Swiss Alps are becoming increasingly unaffordable: Last year, prices for vacation rentals in Switzerland rose by around ten percent, according to a recent UBS study. Accordingly, the real estate experts at the major Swiss bank have recorded the strongest price increase since 2008.

In addition: There are no holiday regions in which prices have fallen. “We are measuring for the first time that we have rising prices in all destinations,” says UBS real estate economist Maciej Skoczek. However, the economist does not expect the boom to continue on this scale. “We expect a slowdown.”
