Hugo Pursues One of the Thieves
As night descends on Montpellier, Noa and Pablo are stealthily following a truck, biding their time for the perfect moment to strike. The duo successfully pilfer a box filled with mobile phones before making their hasty escape on a scooter.
The following day, the young thieves visit José, the fence, to sell their stolen goods. He hands them 3000 euros for the phones, a saxophone, and a camera. Elated by their successful heist, Noa and Pablo decide to splurge their newfound wealth.
At the police station, a man reports the theft of his phones. The officers suspect that Hugo’s crew is behind the crime and anticipate that the thieves will make another misstep that will lead to their capture.
Meanwhile, Noa and Pablo indulge in some go-karting with their ill-gotten gains. During their outing, Noa receives a call from her mother but chooses to ignore it. Pablo urges her to pick up, sharing that at least he has parents who care about him.
Elsewhere, Commissioner Becker inquires whether Sabine is still scheduled to go out that day. Hugo confirms this and prepares to pick her up. Before he departs, the commissioner proposes they grab a drink next week, acknowledging that he hasn’t always been pleasant regarding Hugo’s relationship with Sabine. He admits he misjudged Hugo, recognizing him as a good man. Touched by this acknowledgment, Hugo happily agrees.
As night falls, Hugo and Sabine arrive back home. While unloading their car, the coroner spots Pablo observing him. Without hesitation, Hugo takes off after the teenager, but Pablo skillfully evades him.
Claire Embraces Her New Position at the High School
Claire has accepted the position of school nurse at Gustave Flaubert high school. Upon her arrival, she is warmly greeted by the principal, who discusses her new responsibilities before introducing her to Eve, who extends a friendly welcome.
A short distance away, Achille and Noura are chatting by the lockers when Noura suddenly experiences a fainting spell. Eve, passing by, quickly escorts her to the infirmary where Claire takes charge of the situation.
After examining Noura, Claire inquires about her breakfast that morning. Noura assures her that she ate well. Claire reassures her that there’s nothing serious, attributing her symptoms to a minor vagal episode. She advises that if it recurs, a blood test might be a good idea. Then, she hands Noura a sugar cube, which Noura discreetly tucks away in her pocket.
Meanwhile, Blamont invites Dimitri for a drink, but he politely declines, citing other commitments. In reality, Dimitri is preparing for a date with Claire. Following a visit to the aquarium and enjoying a glass of champagne, Claire suggests that he join her on her future night outings, to which he readily agrees.
