Berlin The new climate protection target of the federal government requires massive investments – also from the real estate industry. However, an energetic renovation of the property is not only environmentally friendly – it is also very expensive in some cases.

Therefore, such a step is financially supported by the state. Anyone who submits the right funding applications in good time can save a lot of money.

Especially since the massive increase in energy prices has recently made many Germans aware that a building without modern heating, facade insulation and roof insulation will be an expensive affair.

In recent years, the federal government has significantly increased its spending on promoting energy-efficient refurbishments. In 2019 he spent 1.9 billion euros on promoting energy-efficient building refurbishment, a year later it was 8.6 billion euros and last year 18 billion euros. The traffic light coalition wants to add even more money.
