The stock market frenzy in our country continues with the intense public offering participation recently. According to the data shared by the Central Registry Agency MKK, the number of citizens investing in Borsa Istanbul exceeded 7 million.
MKK last shared that the number of investors in the stock exchange was 6 million 257 thousand on August 31. In less than two weeks, 882 thousand more people entered the stock market.
According to the data of the Central Registry Agency, the number of investors coming to the stock exchange within a month was 1 million 978 thousand. This figure shows that total investors increased by 38% in a short time. The number of citizens investing in stocks was around 4 million 250 thousand in the same period of the previous year.
Borsa Istanbul became the only investment tool that could protect domestic investors from inflation. Dollar, euro, gold, interest and government securities yields fell behind the August inflation rate. The inflation-adjusted BIST 100 index increased by 7.32% in real terms.
