Star chef Alexander Herrmann: This is how the Oktoberfest tastes at home | Regional

Munich – The Oktoberfest delicacies are hidden in this box! Star chef Alexander Herrmann (50) transforms with his “ StarchefBox Oktoberfest“The dining table to the marquee!

“The Wiesn-Box is intended for everyone who misses the world’s largest folk festival this year, but doesn’t want to let the atmosphere spoil themselves. Those who want to bring the Wiesn feeling home and celebrate with friends, ”says Alexander Herrmann to BILD.

As a starter there is a Bavarian snack board with pepper, mountain cheese, Obatzda from cream cheese, Bavarian sausage salad and beer stick. The main course then features the most popular delicacies from the beer tent: crispy roast suckling pig with jus, braised ox cheeks and – the classic – Oktoberfest chicken. There is also red cabbage, Bavarian cabbage and pretzel dumplings. For dessert, a “Strudel-Schmarrn” with apple and vanilla sauce.

A feast! “If you can’t go to the Oktoberfest, then the Oktoberfest should just come home to your own four walls,” says the star chef

BILD tried it. The delicacies arrive in a styrofoam box with cooling units by post. Everything is individually vacuum-sealed. At home you only have to heat the dishes in the pot or oven. How exactly is always included – there is also an explanatory video by Alexander Herrmann.

And how does it taste? “Even better than in the marquee! The Obatzda from cream cheese is fluffy and so delicious! The main course gives you a lot of meat – that’s enough for six people. The braised ox cheeks are a highlight – tender as butter and full of flavor. In addition, the crispy fried pretzel dumplings and red cabbage – a taste experience! ”Says BILD reporter Nelly Kühn.
