İBB UKOME approved the proposal that includes smart beacon lamps for taxis in Istanbul. The sign will give information about the availability of the taxi, whether it is reserved and whether the driver needs help.
A facilitating decision was made for passengers using taxis in Istanbul, where taxi debates have been ongoing for a long time. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Directorate (UKOME), smart beacon app Confirmed.
With the application in question, an informative beacon will be added to the top of the taxis, indicating whether the taxi is empty or full. new app, within 3 months will be put into practice.
What will be written on the smart beacon?
The Smart Beacon to be placed in taxis will include the following texts, including empty and full information:

- NULL
- RZV (Reserved)
- SOS (Help)

Smart beacon to be added to taxis, It will work with the taximeter. As soon as the journey begins, the sign ‘FULL’ will appear on the sign. No outside intervention will be allowed on this sign until the end of the journey.
