Silicon Valley doesn’t want to go back to the office

san francisco The termination came as a surprise. Ian Goodfellow, one of Apple’s lead machine learning engineers, resigned because he should have gone back to the office. “I firmly believe that more flexibility would have been best for my team,” Goodfellow wrote to his employees before leaving his job at the world’s most valuable company, according to media reports.

Tech workers in Silicon Valley are currently rebelling against having to commute back to the office. After two years of the pandemic and working from home, many have adjusted to being able to work from anywhere and do not see why they should give up their new way of life.
