Berlin The Chinese IT company Transemic has come a long way in the world of Siemens. The Munich company temporarily ennobled the company as a premium partner and thus one of the most important allies worldwide.
Five years ago, the Transemic managers even received an award from Siemens China as the largest “single partner”. However, Transemic is not just any company – the company is very active in the Chinese armaments sector.
Siemens itself is aware of this explosive connection, but the group had no problem with the business relationship for a long time. On its website, Siemens certifies Transemic as a “fast growing business in the defense industry”. Numerous other examples show how close Transemic’s connection to the Chinese defense industry is.
The company sells so-called simulation software as a partner of Siemens in China. Given China’s increasingly aggressive behavior, the link between a Chinese defense company is inherently problematic.
