Munich Roland Busch had a drum kit set up on stage for the management conference. The drummer should acoustically clarify the message from the Siemens boss: The number of cycles at the technology company has to be higher, and you have to be agile and able to vary the pace according to the markets.
It was Busch’s first Siemens Business Conference (SBC) as CEO and also the first to be held virtually. The new boss used it to swear in his management team.
“We have the right strategy and the right team to remain successful,” he said, according to the participants, at the start on Tuesday, referring to the recent good results. But he immediately warned against resting on the successes. “Our environment changes very quickly.”
