Shock Statement from the Cold Wallet Giant: “We Can Seize User Assets If the State Wants”

Éric Larchevêque, co-founder and former CEO of hardware wallet company Ledger, made flash statements about their newly launched Ledger Recover service. Answering the questions of crypto lovers on Reddit, Larchevêque shared under the pseudonym “murzika” and said that the properties of those who use the Recovery service can be confiscated at the request of the states.

Users of Ledger, one of the largest hardware wallet companies in the world, can get their passwords back if they forget their 24-word password with the Recover service. While there was a strong reaction from the crypto community on Twitter to the aforementioned statements of Larchevêque, some users stated that they would turn to alternative wallet solutions.
