- Shiba Inu (SHIB) developers have announced a metaverse project.
SHIB’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, has been teasing investors for about a week about a major development coming, and the team has finally made it official. The official Twitter account of the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency announced a metaverse project that will center around the coin’s ecosystem.

The price of the SHIB token has rallied almost 12 percent from its daily low of $0.00001865.
An ambitious project
Named to be “Shiberse,” the project will provide an “immersive experience” to the Shiba Inu community.
The tweet that made the announcement was accompanied by a cartoonized picture of a Shiba Inu dog holding a hammer between its teeth in the middle of the forest. A blurry version of the picture was posted by the Shiba Inu Twitter account last week to hook the community.
Shiba Inu’s Shiberse is marketed as an immersive experience that allows users to have an adventure in the Metaverse. Additionally, the Shiberse is said to have cutting-edge graphics that will make for an unforgettable experience. Shiberse’s graphics look extremely rich and professional with the detail given to every aspect of the picture.
SHIB has always been at the forefront of improving themselves and continued to target more real-world use cases. Their teams are also known for delivering on their promises and delivering products on time.
Details on the project so far are pretty scant, but the developers promise to reveal more soon.
In a message posted on the Shiba Inu community’s official Discord server, ShibaSwap developer Eric M claimed that Shiberse’s Shia Inu ecosystem will be a place where different puzzles (tokens decentralized exchange, games) will come together.
Noting that the name of the Metaverse project has not been finalized yet, the developer warned users not to become victims of fraudsters.
In another message, Eric stated that the metaverse is “permanent” here, adding that the community is the most important part of the new project.
An 800 billion dollar industry?
The term “metaverse,” which refers to the convergence of the digital and physical worlds, has apparently become one of the most popular terms in technology overnight after the social media giant Facebook announced its rebranding. Even big companies like Walmart and Nike are struggling to take their place in the metaverse.
Bloomberg Intelligence estimates that the metaverse market could eventually reach $800 billion.
