According to lawyer Allred, the alleged assault is statute barred under the laws in the US state of New York. However, her client wanted to break the silence to help other victims of sexual violence.

Last week two women accused Noth of sexual assault in Hollywood Reporter magazine. In the course of the new edition of the HBO cult series “Sex and the City”, the recent reporting has awakened the “painful memories” of the incidents in 2004 in Los Angeles and 2015 in New York.

Noth dismissed these allegations as “categorically false”. The encounters were amicable, Noth told the trade journal.

Noth played Mr. Big, the husband of main character Carrie, on the HBO series. In the new edition “And Just Like That …” Noth is also there. The female stars of the series “Sex and the City” spoke up on Monday.
