Experiencing Issues with Your Connection? Here’s What You Need to Know

Is your phone, television, or internet giving you trouble? Don’t worry just yet! Often, these issues stem from temporary problems, such as maintenance work being conducted by your service provider. Unfortunately, these maintenance updates are not always communicated clearly. To keep you informed, we provide updates on scheduled maintenance activities by major internet providers in Germany.

Provider Updates: Who’s Affected?

1&1: If you’re experiencing connectivity issues with 1&1, rest assured that there are currently no maintenance activities affecting the service. However, you can always check with us for any outages.

Deutsche Glasfaser: Maintenance work is taking place this week, which could lead to temporary service disruptions in specific regions. If you notice internet, TV, or landline issues elsewhere, feel free to check if there are reports of outages for Deutsche Glasfaser in your area.

Deutsche Telefon: We currently have no updates regarding maintenance work for Deutsche Telefon. If you’re having connection problems, consult our outage status to see if any issues have been reported.

Deutsche Telekom: There are no scheduled maintenance tasks for Telekom at this time. If you’re concerned about service interruptions, our Telekom outage detector will provide the latest updates for your location.

NetCom BW: Maintenance activities have been announced for this week in specific regions. If you’re facing connectivity challenges elsewhere, our outage detector for NetCom BW can help you identify if your area is impacted.

O2: O2, which runs one of Germany’s largest mobile networks, has no planned maintenance work at this time. If you’re facing landline, internet, or mobile issues, it might be a network outage. Use our linked outage detector to see if other O2 users are experiencing problems.

Vodafone: Vodafone has not announced any maintenance work. If you’re having connection issues, check with us to see if outages are affecting your area.

wilhelm.tel and willy.tel: These providers offer cable TV, internet, and telephony services primarily in northern Germany, and no maintenance work is scheduled. If you encounter unexpected issues, check for outages in your region.

Kabelplus: As of now, Kabelplus has not communicated any planned maintenance for this week. We’ll update you if anything changes.

Stay Connected During Maintenance

If your phone line is down due to maintenance work, you can still make calls using your mobile phone. Additionally, you can utilize your smartphone as a hotspot to connect your PC to the internet until the maintenance is complete. We’ll guide you through setting up a hotspot on both Android and iPhone in our upcoming articles.

Once your internet is restored, you can also enjoy television through various live TV providers—often at no cost. We’ve compiled a list of the best free TV apps in a linked article.
