With the success of the Mars helicopter Ingenuity, we will soon see more robotic explorers observing distant regions of the solar system from the air. The first of these missions will be to Saturn’s moon Titan, which is thought to be potentially habitable.
NASA to probe Saturn’s Titan moon
With the Dragonfly mission, which is expected to start in 2034, NASA will sail towards the satellite that is most similar to Earth in general. On Titan, which has an atmosphere as we know it, methane takes over the task of water and oxygen on Earth.
Due to its thick atmosphere and low gravity, the Titan has very suitable conditions for the reconnaissance helicopter to stay in the air and explore. With the new mission, both the atmosphere and the surface of the satellite will be examined. Titan, which is difficult to examine from orbit due to the thickness of the atmosphere, will be examined more closely with the Dragonfly mission to evaluate the habitability of the satellite.

NASA and Axiom Space introduced the new spacesuits that astronauts will wear on the Moon walk scheduled for 2025.
The research tool, called Dragonfly, will have a device called the Dragonfly Mass Spectrometer (DraMS) to enable this study. NASA has recently shared more information about its new device and how it will work.
The vehicle, which will take part in NASA’s Titan mission, will be equipped similarly to systems on the Martian surface. Dragonfly will be able to analyze samples on the Titan surface with its Drill for Acquisition of Complex Organics (DrACO) system.
